It reads the top level of the folder you point it at — not the folders inside it — and looks for .mp4, .mkv, .mov and .webm. It also checks when you open it or ask it to, rather than watching the folder constantly, so a file added while GLworm was open appears after a rescan.
Detection reads the Valorant kill feed, so it needs landscape footage — a vertical recording is turned away, because everything it looks for is positioned against the normal on-screen layout. It also needs your in-game name typed in once, so it knows which rows are yours. Trimming, merging and editing still work on any footage.
GLworm rechecks your plan every few hours rather than the instant you pay. Open Your Profile and hit refresh, or use "I already subscribed" next to the locked button, and it will pick the subscription up straight away.
That is almost always a graphics card doing the work on the processor instead. On a DirectX 12 card it runs about 49× faster. Nothing else in the app is affected, and a slower run still produces exactly the same clips.
Yes. The first clip you add sets the frame for the montage, and any clip that doesn't match is fitted inside it over a blurred copy of itself, so nothing gets cropped. Clips that already match are joined untouched, which is instant and lossless. The merge screen tells you how many will need fitting before you start, because those take a moment to render.
That is the offline message rather than an expiry. GLworm keeps working with no connection, but after a day without one it pauses automatic detection until it can check your plan again. Reconnect and it clears on the next check, or hit refresh in Your Profile to force one.
If you installed from the Microsoft Store, updates arrive on their own. The installer downloaded from this site does not update itself, so download it again when there is a new version.
Usually an external drive that isn't plugged in, or a folder that was moved or renamed. Plug it back in, or pick a new location from the Storage screen. GLworm moves what is already there. A folder left behind stays listed, so you can clear it out afterwards.
